Elektronic guide path

Torgil Möller

This project aims to develop a new kind of guide paths that help visually impaired in an easy and secure way to move on their own in the street environment. By utilizing the so-called RFID technology one can create an electronic route marker with the potential to be both cost effective and flexible.

Solar thermal – Verification of the 5-way valve

Erik Andersson

A new plug-and-play solar thermal. Researchers at Lund University have invented a solar heating system that can solve the two biggest problems in solar technology: profitability and simplicity. The research aim has been to develop a solar heating system to connect to the existing water heater. This ensures that when the solar system is installed it is not required to be replaced. There is no need for new solar accumulator or drivetrain, which are two of the most expensive parts to purchase. So, no big changes in the house, making the system simple and cheap.

The Water Spirit – a possible environmental indicator for drug residues

Lena Vougt

The purpose of this project is to develop an analytical method for detecting the influence of pharmaceutical residues in running water downstream of sewage treatment plants. This should be seen as a complement to costly chemical analysis. The goal is to set up experimental aquaria to test how web-weaving caddis larvae are affected by various chemicals. The ultimate goal is to be able to detect the presence of drug residues in the nature, by gathering nets from larvae upstream and downstream of sewage treatment plants.

Optimization of a unique measurement technology for quality assurance and determination of hyperglycaemic characteristics in carbohydrate foods

Viscosens AB/ Christina Skjöldebrand

Visco Sens goal in five years is to get the company’s analytical method for the determination of blood glucose-raising characteristics recognized as the standard method by the European Food Safety Authority community. To achieve this, Visco Sens is now working to further develop its existing measurement method. The measurements should be validated against meal research, speeding up and developed in terms of application technology, robustness and adaptations for various uses.

Development of a new type of self-supporting pre school

Christian Wilke

The project will in the short term actively participate in solving an acute and recurring pre-crisis in a way that adds something positive to urban environment. The building will be an educational tool for children; educators and parents, and lead to sustainable insight without pointing fingers. The building will become a product which will be a partial solution for municipalities with varying needs for childcare. The product and its creative process will become an inspiring generator for development in the cleantech sector in Skåne.
