The first clinical study is successfully completed and the Lund-based BibbInstruments biopsy instrument is CE marked. With complete production facilities in Germany the CEO Charles Walther is planning for commercialization in one year. With the instrument’s drilling, doctors can take deeper samples of tumors, and thus make a more complete assessment. The company is so far funded by own resources, scholarship from Sten K Johnson Foundation and a Vinnova grant of 2 MSEK.
