This project focuses on Malmö’s various neighbourhoods from A to Z. The city has just over 120 neighbourhoods (sub-areas) and, in addition, several neighbourhoods that have disappeared. Malmö is a city that in many ways has been shaped by the welfare state ideal. The focus will therefore largely be on people, their lives and their homes, in both old estates and new residential areas.

The aim is to highlight and gather knowledge about collaborative research through a joint review of ten years’ experience. The project creates space for collegial learning and the exchange of experiences between researchers and will result in an anthology that makes practical knowledge available regarding working methods, conditions and success factors for collaborative research.

Current resources on nature conservation rarely focus on the urban environment, are not adapted to conditions in southern Sweden, and often offer overly generalised advice (e.g. ‘plant flowers for pollinators’). Multi-year university courses in landscape architecture often include only one or two lectures on urban ecology. What is lacking is a handbook for professionals and private individuals that provides practical advice with clear ecological explanations. The book will ultimately contribute to sustainable cities.

“Botildenborg – a green cookbook for a sustainable city” is a reportage and cookbook that depicts the Botildenborg Foundation’s social innovations in Malmö. The aim is to show how food and cultivation can serve as tools for work, integration, health and community. Through personal stories and concrete examples, the book highlights how social entrepreneurship can contribute to sustainable urban development.

One of the oldest paper wallpapers in Europe is found in Malmö, and during the 20th century Sweden was a highly significant wallpaper producer – yet there are few books on the subject. It is time to change that now. In six chapters, we aim to recount the history of wallpaper, covering its patterns, its creators and how it has been used. The book, a richly illustrated popular science title, is scheduled for publication in autumn 2027.

The aim of publishing this book is to contribute to the public debate and to strengthen democratic intellectual resilience in Sweden. By learning the best arguments against a democratic system of government, we can broaden the public debate and spread knowledge about how we can argue in favour of a democratic system of government. The benefit lies in the fact that this book is written for a wider audience, with the hope of involving more citizens in the discussion about our shared democratic system.

Publishing a book on developing actors with intellectual disabilities through an established non-fiction publisher increases the chances of both greater and correct dissemination. It will be more easily discovered by libraries and educational institutions and be of higher quality than one which is self-published. The book will fill the void that exists in how to work to enable the transition to a professional life for actors with intellectual disabilities.

One goal of the book is to provide a broad picture of what intelligence can be where more abilities and in the longer term more perspective can be included. Hopefully the book broadens the horizons of how together we can solve complex issues and problems where as many as possible are involved so that we together with other people, machines, octopuses, bacteria or whatever it may be can find alternative paths that open up new worlds.

The purpose is to inventory, make available and disseminate poems that people around the Baltic Sea wrote in Latin and Greek for some 300 years. Many of these poems have never been published, others are in hard-to-find editions from the 17th and 18th centuries. Another reason is to present our poems from Sweden in a larger international historical context, to show how people migrated in the Baltic Sea region, what contacts they had with each other, how they thought, lived and created.

Our book will strengthen children’s and young people’s bond to Malmö. It will open doors to subject areas that are otherwise mostly accessible to adults. Since we start from real houses and places in Malmö, everyone will recognize them, at least some of them, and the rest will be easy to discover and explore. Through everyday experiences, we inspire reflections, share knowledge, give the key to new worlds of thought. We encourage readers to build on, both on our book and on Malmö’s development.

The goal of this project is to publish an easy-to-read fictional story targeting young people aged 13 to 15 years. The short story should be able to be successfully read and used by schools in the teaching and learning about the Holocaust. The secondary goal is to create a script that can lead to a TV production.

The manuscript, In the service of the country, deals with two topics that are currently debated in high tones and sometimes with more emotion than knowledge; the school and its problems and who the citizen is and perhaps above all should be. It is my hope that the manuscript will both show why the school, and the problems it faces today, looks the way it does, and that the debate about the citizen, who he or she is and should be, will be nuanced and placed in a historical context. In this way, the project can provide perspective and a basis for constructive debate.

At a time when people’s geographical movement is being questioned, I want to highlight the importance of labour migration in a historical perspective. This applies not least to Sweden’s industrialisation. In both research and popular science contexts, the transfer of industrial knowledge to Sweden has been linked to prominent researchers and far-sighted industrial leaders. This project instead studies how industrial workers acquired practice-oriented technical knowledge through study trips abroad.

The purpose is to produce a commemorative publication for Malmö University Library, which turns 25 years old. The texts and images in the anthology are a contemporary document of what a young and forward-thinking university library is, as well as the learning that takes place when a library takes shape.
The goal is to write, design and print a book in some 200 copies that describes the development work at Malmö University Library. The book is also published as a freely available e-book in PDF format.

The purpose of this publication is to increase knowledge about entrepreneurship in society and thus create a more accurate picture of what entrepreneurship is and means. It is unfortunate, for example, that entrepreneurial role models often include people like Elon Musk or Daniel Ek. These do not reflect the average entrepreneur at all and create a distorted image of entrepreneurship, which in turn has consequences for how, for example, support organisations and societal decision-makers act.

The aim is to support the implementation of person-centredness in healthcare, education and research. Existing theories and frameworks provide little guidance on how to implement the knowledge in practice. Through the book, such knowledge can be made available to those it concerns health professionals, students, teachers, researchers and policy makers. By involving those affected and starting from their perspective, it is ensured that the book will be useful to the target groups and beneficial to healthcare.

The book is intended to introduce a broad readership to the most central questions of analytic philosophy in an accessible and engaging way. These include what is valuable and moral, how we can understand the nature of consciousness and experience, what is required to interpret linguistic meaning, and so on. Both the questions and their possible answers are presented by means of the tradition’s most vivid and telling thought experiments, while the book actively avoids technical terms and concepts.

The goal is to provide support for the introduction of person-centredness in care, education and research. Many of the theories and frameworks that already exist provide scant guidance in how the knowledge should be implemented in practice. Through the book, such knowledge can be made available to those who actually need it: healthcare staff, students, teachers and researchers. By involving those affected, and a point of departure from their perspective, we ensure that the book is useful to the target groups and beneficial to healthcare.

Time is relentless, and the art treasures that the houses in Malmö conceal are slowly disappearing through wear and tear, negligent renovations or vandalism. By producing this book, we want to increase pride in staircase art among residents and property owners and highlight a forgotten category of skilled craftsmen. We also want to make the artworks accessible to an audience that does not have access to the houses and show the uniqueness of this part of Malmö’s art and architectural history.

What happened in Öresund, in the western parts of Skåne and in the airspace over these parts during the war years is part of our contemporary history. The same applies to all the people who in various ways were actively involved in the events. The aim of the book is to provide knowledge so that what happened is not forgotten.
