Privacy policy

GENERAL

In this Privacy Policy, we provide details of how Sten K Johnssons stiftelse (the Foundation) processes the personal data supplied by you when you apply for a grant via our electronic application service on our website. The Foundation is the controller of the personal data about you that we process. You can find contact details under the ‘Contact details’ heading below.

HOW WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA

The Foundation processes your personal data for the following purposes and based on the following legal bases:

  1. We process all data you submit in your application to be able to register your application and assess your application based on the criteria laid down for the grant for which you have applied. The legal basis for our processing is the consent for processing that you are asked to provide when you send an application to us.
  2. After the selection process has been completed, we will continue to process necessary data about you and others who have applied for the grant in order to (i) follow up on the grants awarded, (ii) keep a record of those who have been awarded grants and (iii) be able to guarantee a fair, transparent application process for future grants and prevent misuse, for example in the form of multiple applications for the same project from the same person. The legal basis in this case rests on a balancing of interests, where it is our opinion that the Foundation’s need to be able to continue processing your data for this purpose is more important than your interest in having the data erased.
  3. If you are awarded a grant by us, we will publish a brief presentation of your project on our website, along with your name. The legal basis for our processing is your consent for your project and your name to be presented on our website.
  4. During our award event, we will take photos of all grant-holders and present them on our website. In this case too, the legal basis for our processing is your consent.

For our processing under a), c) and d), you may, at any time, withdraw your consent by contacting us (contact details are below). This means, of course, that we will then be unable to register and assess your application or publish your photo or your projects on our website.

FOR HOW LONG DO WE SAVE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

Your personal data is saved for as long as there is a need to save it to fulfil the purposes for which the data was collected under this Privacy Policy. The Foundation has decided that, for the processing indicated under 2 b) above, it is necessary for your name, personal identity number (where appropriate) and application to be saved for 10 years.

TO WHOM DO WE DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

The application service on our website is supplied by a supplier to the Foundation, TagWorks AB. TagWorks AB only processes your personal data on behalf of the Foundation and in order for the Foundation to fulfil the purposes of processing your personal data set out in Clause 2 above. Your name and the name of your project may also be published on our website if you are awarded a grant.

TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD COUNTRIES

The Foundation will not transfer your personal data to any country outside the EU/EEA.

YOUR RIGHTS

In its capacity as controller, the Foundation is liable to ensure that your personal data is processed in pursuance of existing legislation.

At your request or on its own initiative, the Foundation will rectify, anonymise, erase or supplement data that is found to be incorrect, incomplete or misleading.

You are entitled to request the Foundation to rectify or erase your personal data (for example if such erasure is required under applicable legislation) and to request restriction of continued processing of your personal data. You are also entitled to object to the processing under the conditions specified by applicable personal data legislation (for example if you question whether the personal data is correct or the processing is legal). The Foundation will notify every recipient to whom personal data has been disclosed under Clause 4 above of any rectification or erasure of data and restriction of processing of data under this Clause 6.

You are entitled to data portability, i.e. a right, under certain circumstances, to receive and transfer your personal data in a structured, generally used, machine-readable format to another controller.

You are entitled, on submission of a signed, written application, to receive a record extract from the Foundation, stating the personal data recorded about you, the purposes of the processing and the recipients to which the data has been disclosed or will be disclosed. You are also entitled, in the record extract, to receive information about the anticipated period for which the data will be saved, or the criteria applied to determine this period. You are also entitled, in the record extract, to receive information about your other rights specified in this Clause 6.

Please contact us if you have any complaints about our processing of your personal data so that we can correct our processing where necessary. You are also entitled to submit complaints about the Foundation’s processing of your personal data to the Swedish Data Protection Authority.

PROTECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

You should always feel secure about submitting your personal data to us. The Foundation has therefore implemented the security measures required to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, modification and erasure. We will not disclose your data to any party other than as explicitly stated in this Privacy Policy.
