Maria Mc Shane received a grant this year for her “Mini-Magazine”, which is a news material for children. The Mini-Magazine wants to attract children to reading and encourage their curiosity to read and write. Today we could read about the Mini-Magazine in “Hallå” which is an attachment to Sydsvenskan.

At the end of the summer, three of our funded conferences, “The Bridge” in Copenhagen, “Existence Österlen”, in Kivik and “Humour Knowledge” at Kulturen in Lund. Three very successful and well-attended conferences.  

Yesterday the Foundation had its fifth grants award. Now we close for our summer brake and wish all of you a warm and nice summer. Photos from the ceremony will be published next week. The next application period starts in January.

One of the grants from 2015, the Cathedral school in Lund, has made a tourist app about the Battle at Lund. The app is released on 10th June with thunder and crash, 40 ”Karoliner” (soldiers), horses and cannons will battle in Lundagård.

The board has decided to issue 61 grants this year. We received 489 applications and it has been a tough job to choose from all the interesting projects. We congratulate all of you who will receive your grants on the 13th of June. We would also like to thank everyone

Yesterday Lund University and Sparbanksstiftelsen Finn gave the yearly Innovation Price to three research projects and three student projects. Of the six award winner five have during the last years been awarded grants from Sten K Johnson Foundation. The projects are:
